CHER & NEIL DIAMOND – A TRIBUTE SHOW Don’t miss this magical tribute to two of the most-talented and famous entertainers of all time. You will be amazed by how wonderfully these talented tribute performers capture the spirit and sound of these great artists. The lighting, costumes, and band will thrill you from start to finish. Lisa Irion, “Cher” is a seasoned character actress and vocalist with over 20 years of experience in stage, television and radio. In 2003, she began impersonating Cher, she is now widely recognized as one of the world’s foremost Cher impersonators, entertaining audiences for corporate and private events, casinos and municipal auditoriums across the United States and internationally. Dennis Svehla, “Denny Diamond” became a sensation after he appeared on the Dick Clark produced “Your Big Break” TV show. Catechism classes are never as much fun – or as hilarious – as when they are led by Sister in the international hit comedy LATE NITE CATECHISM by Vicki Quade and Maripat Donovan. Late Nite Catechism performances are running January 27 to 30, 2016. Late Nite Catechism is an uproarious piece of theater that takes audience members back – sometimes nostalgically, sometimes fearfully – to the children they once were. The irrepressible Sister teaches an adult catechism class to a roomful of “students” (the audience). Over the course of the play, Sister goes from benevolent instructor, rewarding the “students” for correct answers with glow-in-the-dark rosaries and laminated saint cards, to authoritative drill sergeant. These abrupt mood swings are bound to strike a resonant chord with everyone who survived the ups and downs of going to school, with an omniscient authoritarian at the helm. The New York Times declared “Late Nite Catechism speaks to an audience much broader than the membership of any one church.” Late Nite Catechism was nominated for an Outer Critics Circle Award in New York and recently won the L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Lead Performance for Maripat Donovan.

ALWAYS…PATSY CLINE previews March 16 and 17, opening March 18 and running through April 17, 2016. “Always…Patsy Cline” is more than a tribute to the legendary country singer who died tragically at age 30 in a plane crash in 1963. The show is based on a true story about Cline’s friendship with a fan from Houston named Louise Seger, who befriended the star in a Texas honky-tonk in 1961, and continued a correspondence with Cline until her death. The musical play, complete with down-home country humor, true emotion and even some audience participation, includes many of Patsy’s unforgettable hits such as “Crazy”, “I Fall to Pieces”, “Sweet Dreams” and “Walking After Midnight”…27 songs in all. The show’s title was inspired by Cline’s letters to Seger, which were consistently signed “Love ALWAYS… Patsy Cline.”

“Patsy Cline,” says ALWAYS…PATSY CLINE creator, Ted Swindley, “has now taken on the mantle of a legend. Patsy endures – in fact she gets bigger – decade after decade as she is discovered by new fans and revered by the faithful who grew up with her.”

New in 2016 – Theater for young audiences. The Palace Theater is proud to present CINDERELLA as its inaugural program. These 60 minute performances are specially priced at $9 to introduce children to the magic of live theater. Show runs March 17 to April 9, 2016.

MAGGIE MAE and the Heartland Country Band will be performing Mother’s Day Weekend, May 6 to 8, 2016 and Independence Weekend July 1 and 2, 2016. Maggie Mae Hilliard has been singing and performing to country music fans since 2002. She started out singing to customers in her Oxford, Wisconsin café and has since recorded nine CD’s and performed all over the United States!

ECHOES OF A LEGEND – A Tribute to Elvis is back by popular demand for two shows only. Stephen Freeman, named one of the top 10 Elvis Tribute Artists in the World by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. will be performing May 20 and 21, 2016. This special performance coincides with the annual Automotion Classic Car Show in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.

Summer 2016, experience the re-creation of a legendary night – MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET. On December 4, 1956, a twist of fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley to Memphis’ Sun Records. The rock ‘n’ roll musical Million Dollar Quartet was inspired by this famed recording session — the first and only collaboration between these legendary icons, each of whom had an undeniable influence on American music. This thrilling production takes you inside the studio with the four major talents who came together as a red-hot band for one unforgettable night, and features such enduring hits as “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On,” “Great Balls of Fire” and “Hound Dog.” A hit on Broadway, Million Dollar Quartet was nominated for 2010 Tony and Drama Desk Awards. The musical previews June 15 and 16, 2016 and opens June 17, 2016 and runs through August 21, 2016.

Fans of Jake and Elwood Blues — better known as The Blues Brothers — will soon revel in the “Saturday Night Live”-inspired band onstage in The BLUES BROTHERS REVIVAL previewing September 16 and 17, opening September 21, 2016. The show runs through October 30, 2016. Created from a “Saturday Night Live” sketch which saw Aykroyd and Belushi as soul singers dressed in black suits and thin ties against a white shirt topped off with fedoras and shades. The characters, seen in frequent appearances on the show, made the leap to the big screen in the 1980 film “The Blues Brothers” directed (and co-written with Aykroyd) by John Landis. The stage show will interpolate songs from the movie with material released on subsequent albums by Aykroyd and Belushi. Among the songs featured will be “Soul Man,” “She Caught The Katy,” “Sweet Home Chicago,” “Shotgun Blues,” “Rubber Biscuit,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “R-E-S-P-E-C-T,” “Son of a Preacher,” “Rawhide,” “Minnie the Moocher” and more.

Holiday Season 2016 the Palace Theater brings another classic to the stage – MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET – THE MUSICAL. Based on the book by Valentine Davies and the holiday classic movie of the same name, Miracle On 34th Street tells a joyous and heart-warming story. When Macy’s Santa may in fact be the real Kris Kringle, a wave of love spreads across New York City that melts even the most cynical hearts. Filled with humor, spectacle, and such beloved songs as “Silent Night,” “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas” and “Carol of the Bells,” this funny, faith-affirming musical is wonderful family entertainment!
